Rainier Cherries

Here is a small - 8" x 10" oil I did of some cherries. I find it quite hard to be confined by the small sized canvas.

Before I can properly paint the three dimensionality of the stems, I need time for the slow drying reds to harden enough for them to be painted on.

Joan, James, Jayne:

Thank you for taking the time to look at my stuff and comment. (Favorably). But if not favorable, please, send all the zingers you can. I mean it. We all learn from our mistakes. Or try, anyway.

By the way: Joan, James, Jayne: Do we sense a pattern here...? (visualize your own wiseguy emoticon here).

I'm doing last minute stuff to put my show together for tomorrow, so please excuse my laxness- I need to see your blogs, too.

And I am just learning blog etiquette, so please excuse mu many lapses .

Ellen, it was a great pleasure to meet you today and visit you in your studio. As beautiful as these images are on the web, they pail in comparison to the originals, which are just amazing. I'm so glad to have been introduced to your wonderful work, particularly this oil, which is a gem.
